i have purchased unlocked E71-1 100.07.76 08/06/2008 RM-346. On the Network menu there is no GSM option to choose only Dual Mode and UMTS thus automitically on dual mode. as far as i know that using 3G consumes more battery. i have tested my phone on Energy Profiler and my result is 0.39w standby mode and only running energy profiler(3G network).

 

This is a new phone just got it a week ago, i dont use that much couple of calls a day and messages no email no surfing. I have fully charged my phone in the morning and next morning my phone was turned off.

 

Thus question is whether my phone is ok? battery is ok?

 

 there is no option for GSM i`m just wondering whether it is possible to get a GSM option on my network menu? download new software whatever can be done? Coz this 3G is just killing the battery to my knowledge other than this no idea why battery runs out so quick?

 

HOW DO I SWITCH TO GSM MODE AS I DONT HAVE ONE?

Hello, i just got new bluetooth headset, BH-209.

After charging the battery, i paired it with my mobile N-81. Pairing was successful but when i try to make or receive a call, i don't hear anything through it although it is connected.

I tried it also with another mobile, 6630 and the same problem, it is paired successfully and connected but can't hear anything.

Is there any adjustment that should be done?

In the catalogue it is mentioned that the volume is adjusted on the mobile, and for both cases, it was on the maximum.

After reading dozens of reviews and deciding to go with the E71 rather than the Blackberry Bold I took delivery of my new toy  essential communication device just 2 days ago, so far so good!.

 

Come over from a palm treo 750 so quite a culture shock from winmo to symbian...anyways...I quite like the case that comes but soonish I would like to get another more accessible one. As per there are literally dozens of versions and even more suppliers online.

 

I have searched here but to no avail, can anyone recommend a good case/supplier pref a silicon type.

 

Grateful for suggestions...this post may be in the wrong section?

my E71 running S60 Mail For Exchange works fine for email, but as soon as we start syncing calendar, we get this error "System Error. Try again later"

 

i have researched further. The phone log shows the sync falls over on outlook recurring appointments. Some threads suggest the offending appts are those without end dates and adding them will fix it, but this is not correct. Our recurring appointments are created in Maximizer and synced to Outlook. They all have end dates which show in both Maximizer and Outlook.

The log message on phone is: "Failed to store calendar entry in device database". If you google that you come across the link to another thread

where it seems that MFE simply does not work properly with Outlook calendar recurring appointments and no solution is offered by Nokia. E71's run Symbian S60 and Mail For Exchange is the Nokia offering, which appears to be a derivative of Roadsync. Both appear to have the same shortcoming. Even the latest MFE version, V2.09.158, contains the problem, as we just upgraded on phone to try for a fix.

 

We have a fleet of E71's, having reverted to Nokia from Win Mobile devices. We were even looking forward to N97's, but we are now planning to move back to a Windows Mobile device. At least we can see the calendar on these!

 

For now, we have to remove calendar syncing on phone and delete all calendar entries, so the phone again syncs for email and contacts.

 

Nokia, how about a FIX before your new generation of "Smart Phones" are consigned to the wastebin? Please don't just tell us to change a setting on the server, unless you know it works.

 

This is your last chance with us. Time is too precious  to waste on dodgey software.

i just update my n96, then its freez for few minutes, after that its work on but all my massges are gone wihle everything is there (contacts, photos, videos....)

 

so can i restore my massges bak again ?

I just bought a N78 and it seems that its navi wheel is not working. software version is 12.046. i made sure that its activated but it still doesnt work. what could be the cause?

Hi, i just installed nokia software updater and it updated my N96 from 12.XX to 20.50 and the phone was working fine for couple of hours then the battery gose off and when i conect it to a charger it displayed "Phone start-up Failed. Contact Retailer", and i went to the nokia care "Delta comunication" in Iraq-Baghdad and they blame my because i updated using NSU and they said that action made me out of the guarantee that should last for 1-Year and in this case they'll repair it for price...

 

after 2 days they reterned my mobile and said that it's un repairable and i had to trash it!!!!

 

so any hoped solution?

 

or i completely lost my new N96 #_#

I noticed that the CK-15W is not on the list of compatible accessories for the E75.

Almost all other new phones are on the list.

 

Have anyone tried to use a CK-15W with an E75 phone? How did it work? I am mainly interested in the basic functions like anwering calls and making calls with the phonebook or by entering numbers with the input device.

 

I have used both a HTC and presently an SE and they have worked fine so I assume all bluetooth phones shoud work with the CK-15W? I was just kind of suprised that the E75 is not on the list of compatible phones.

 

The E71 is on the list and a good option too....

when i click on the Music tab on "Internet and My contents" the usual Music Library folders do not appear. But instead a message appear on the top as "No items found". why is that???

 

 

I would like to get a headset that really frees your hands as in not allowed to touch may be with benefits of voice commands to make calls handsfree for settings like theatre(OR).Would a device like a BH-800 be able to offer me that servce for an E90 commmunicator
