Hi.

I have recently got N85 and installed S60 VoIP Release 3.0 to make a VoIP call from my mobile.

After installing the S60 VoIP 3.0 I found that N85 keeps asking to connect to the Internet to register my VoIP services all the time even though I don’t need it now.

Furthermore my mobile keeps searching for available wireless internet all the time which consumes battery a lot.

I have tried to turn off “Show WLAN availability” under Wireless LAN (Tool>Settings> Connection > Wireless LAN) however after a couple of mins/restarting N85 this setting turns on again automatically.

I guess I should change some settings for S60 VoIP but no clue what to do.

Any idea on this issue please?

Has anyone had any luck activating a power-on password for the N810? Normal Linux distro installations on laptop/desktop computers always have a power-on login for security. This tiny mobile device is particularly vulnerable to compromise (easy to lose/misplace/pickpocketing/leaving unattended on the desk.) I would think a power-on password to keep out prying eyes would be a no-brainer, but it has none, so whomever turns it on has immediate full access to all the data inside including network connections. This is foolish. There should be at least a power-on password. It is Linux, after all, no matter how compact. The best I've gotten from Nokia support is the time-out lockup, but that's no good until after the device is powered on, and it's too late, then.

I've been using N95 & N95 8GB for 18 months, now I've moved to new N96 and my corporative e-mail address is 31 characters one.
N96 Mail Software lets me to fill up the 31 characters but once I came out of the Mail Application and get into again only the first 30 characters are showed (the last "m" of the .com has disappeared). As mentioned I used N95 & N95 8GB and I could use the Mail Application without any problem.
Probably the Nokia SW developer has decided to cut the length of this field, but in my case I cannot change the corporative e-mail address. Is it possible to generate in the new firmware a patch for this??

My 2 week old N96 has decided tonight that it will not charge by its Mains Charger.

Just checked with the car charger and that works, cant really leave the phone charging in the car over night.

Looks like a drive, carpark (that needs payment for) just to visit Vodaphone shop ;(

Anyone had an issue with the mains charger?

I am a new e71 owner and I’ ve noticed that when i push the options key in many applications for instance “MENU-OPTIONS” the toolbar (come up) with some shakes and some tiny white lines appear for millisecond and then disappeared. I have the last FW and the second E71 In one week… please help

I have recently purchased N79. I have problem with my music player. Forwarding song or going to the next track freezes the phone. This problem was there from the first iteself. So thought upgdrading the firmware would solve this problem, but it had become worst started freezing and had to remove the battery. So formatted my phone to fix the problem. Now everything is normal except the music player problem which is irritating. This problem mostly occurs when I use FM transmitter for listening songs. And also the real player dosn't play video show blank sreeen sometimes.
Does the preloaded files are creating problem or the memory card is faulty needs to formatted. Its 4 GB card enough free space available.

Can you tell me after formatting the phone I lost licence for preloaded audio and video files in my memory card. Also few applications as i didn't backup. Is there any way atleast to get licence back or do I have to delete locked items.

How ofter Nokia releases firmware update. There is no update available rite now.

does anybody know what the difference between AD-44 (http://europe.nokia.com/A4486274) and AD-54 (http://europe.nokia.com/A4487137)?
they look very similar, but compatibility list is absolutely different...

another thing I cannot understand - why AD-44 is not compatible with, for example, 3500c while it also has S40 and 2.5mm AV-connector...
