The definitive guide for signing your own applications

Tuesday, January 15th, 2008

Hi everyone,
I’ve seen quite a few comments recently on people struggling with ‘beta’ apps and not being able to sign the application.
Here is a guide I found today which step by step shows you exactly what is needed to sign your own apps.
I haven’t tested it myself yet, but I will over the next couple of days.
In the meantime, anyone else that has the time, give it a go and see what you can find out.

Bear in mind it may cost you a few dollars to get your own certificate, however once you have it you’ll be able to sign any of those unsigned applications that you have laying around.

You can view the guide at this website http://n95-nokia-phone.blogspot.com/2007/09/advanced-and-inquisitive-symbian.html

Ford 2007 car kit

Saturday, January 12th, 2008
Hello,

I have a Ford Focus with the original Ford car kit (Bluetooth, cradle and Voice Control), and have some questions.

1st - intermittently, the phone can't connect with the car kit using BT. The solution is to remove the fuse to reset the system or use the ear set and wait for the system to be back! Is there anything I can do to solve the problem?

2nd - I have a N73 phone and would like to know if there is any way to have the name of the person that is calling me in the radio display instead of the number?

Thank you,
Miguel

flipsilent

**Note**
New version of flipsilent released on the 13th of Jan 2008
You can find it here
Another accelerator application for the n95.

It is called flipsilent and it has the same function as the future app “shutup” made by samir.

Install it on your phone and apply the settings that you wish for.

It can go to silent mode but it can also end a phone call and all that by flipping your phone upside down.

You can get it here.

Have fun with this app and for everybody who wants to see a preview here it is

Nokia 6120 & Mitsubishi Triton Bluetooth

Tuesday, January 8th, 2008
Is anyone using a Nokia 6120 with the factory Bluetooth (Parrot VM3.18) in a current model Mitsubishi Triton in Australia?

I had an iMate Jasjam that worked perfectly, but my new Nokia 6120 classic is hopeless :(

It takes ages to connect whenever I start the car, it drops the Bluetooth connection halfway through a call, but worst of all the volume on a call is far too low and can't seem to be increased...

The current firmware on this Nokia is 3.70, it has been suggested that I upgrade the firmware but I am having trouble even doing this :(

Any assistance would be appreciated!

Cheers
